Haha, not to drag this off topic, but...
KTOO is such a wonderful public radio station, when I came down here I expected them all to be that good. I've been incredibly disappointed with the public radio stations down south. The programming is just plain boring, even those that purport to be NPR related. KTOO recently split into three stations- KTOO the news station, KXLL which has "excellent" music, indie and such, and KRNN which is world and eclectic. It was a great move, but I still refuse to call them K3 like they want us to. They will always be K2 to me.

Why the hell would I want to eat my heart out because it's 80 someplace in the lower 48? I'd rather be farther north, really...now is when Alaska does what Alaska does best....

I do miss freeze-up. We don't have it this far south.

And I can always fly off for a vacation to anywhere in the world that I so desire, when the desire for some warmth strikes me.

I'm thinking of perhaps going to Turkey and staying in a treehouse for a month. I'll wake up with a view of the Caribbean and walk to a juice stand on the beach for fresh juice.

The Mediterranean.

They both end the same ya know.

And they are both blue and there is fruit juice there.

I'm gonna go have another smoke now. Be back soon.

Sun Queen, the villages will put a pox on you if you send warm weather this way. Freeze up can't occur until it turns COLD, and most of these people want to get to their trap lines or get out to recreate. However, we're in a Catch 22--we really appreciate the warmer winter weather (50 below gets old after awhile), but with it comes grey skies and iffy river ice if it takes too long to get cold.

-----

Warptman is really quick. I automatically thought Mediterranean although my eyes saw Caribbean. I never noticed Metla's slip. You're lucky she hasn't put a pox on you.
