Hey where u r is almost like summer compared to the northern coast where Rance is. Does it stay dark there now? I would love to be there, though I am not sure how I would do in that kind of cold. In the morning here in AZ it is about 60 and I wear jacket until it warms up. Thanks for the weather report.

Hasn't really gotten cold here in southwest. I'll take it though, I think I like warmer weather now. Getting old or something.

Hey there in Bethel. It sounds like u need to bundle up...what does 88% humidity feel like at 26 degrees? I can't even imagine. I don't think it gets to be 88% humidity anywhere in AZ. If u ever get the chance to visit don't come in the summer no matter what. U will roast

Our Deer season (white tail - odocoileus virginianus) starts in 10 days, gathering a winter food supply.....actually enough to last us for a year, or thereabouts. Did I mention that we have chickens? Did I also mention that we also have foxes? We've lost several chickens to the foxes, the chickens used to go into the woods, scratching for whatever they could find, after foxes took their toll of wayward hens and roosters, the chickens no longer go into, or close beside, the woods. The foxes used to raid the yard from time to time in search of an easy meal. Dreifus, our quite large German Shepherd managed to get, at least three of them, actually, the number may be larger...anyway.... the chickens no longer go into the woods, and the foxes no longer come into the yard, ahhhhhhh.....a truce exists, except between me and the crows (they really like eating out of my garden, this year, with the drought, they had slim pickens). Enough of this, oftimes I ramble. Lo siento (Spanish for "OOPS, sorry about that) D

Wow u paint a very pretty picture of NC. It sounds like a very beautiful place to be. I mean if u r not a chicken If I were not in love with AK, NC-the place u described would win my heart for sure. Thanks for chiming in NC.

Hey there in Wisilla What's up other than the temp and humidity? I think I need to experience this cold, but for now I am stuck with a sunny winter. I guess it is not offically winter yet. We really only have one and a half seasons in AZ- hot and hotter than...

I do miss freeze-up. We don't have it this far south.
And I can always fly off for a vacation to anywhere in the world that I so desire, when the desire for some warmth strikes me.
I'm thinking of perhaps going to Turkey and staying in a treehouse for a month. I'll wake up with a view of the Caribbean and walk to a juice stand on the beach for fresh juice.
|
Okay then don't eat your heart out. I would love to be there now when AK is doing what it does best. I guess I will just have to eat my heart our in AZ. I am seriously pining for AK.

Warptman is really quick. I automatically thought Mediterranean although my eyes saw Caribbean. I never noticed Metla's slip. You're lucky she hasn't put a pox on you.

Oh my...I don't know what a pox is, but it don't sound like I want non of that. I will stop wishing warm weather that way immediately. Where in AK is this village? Sounds like a place I would love to see way before the weather ever gets to 50 below. Hey what does everyone to to keep warm? How much snow do u get up that way and how remote is the village as compared to Sterling or Anchorage? Pox...what is pox? Any who Blueberry happy to hear from u in AZ. I wish u much cold weather up your way
