Clothing for Winter in Bethel
Hello all,
As the title says, I will need to select proper clothing for living in Bethel, especially during the winter.
Any links, hints, etc...?
I am certain that outerwear is the main priority, so any clues as to what jacket/parka/overpants/shoes/boots I will need is appreciated.
Thanks again,
-Merlin

Gore-tex and thinsulate works good. Use layers. i have cabelas gear, works well. a parka with a hood works, too. you can always tell new people that are here working for the hospital every winter. the have those airforce parkas when they first come here. eventually they switch into something to blend in with the rest of us.

Do you guys wear Uggs up there, warpt? I love the feeling of a new pair of uggs, the first time you wear them...
Maybe I'm a hypocrite, what with my semi-hippie earth loving outlook, but really there's nothing better than sheepskin boots!

I have bunny boots, nothing else. When I drive on the river I pack the boots in the back seat and use Merrill mocs.

Very warmly. It gets cold here, but no where near the north slope area.
