There are many places on the Kenai Peninsula that do processing, freezing and even shipping. We get a huge amount of fishing type tourists in the summer so it's set up for folks that may have only a couple fish.
I make some darn good squaw candy and also sugar cure, smoke and jar my fish. Very cool Warptman!

great pics
Great pics there, I'm jealous seeing all those big fish on the racks. Been a very slow year here in SE as far as the fish go, especially the silvers.
Ditto on the rep, guess I'm gonna have to spread the love before I can hit you again.

It was a great year for fish here on the Kuskokwim. At first it was slow at the start because the water was very low and clear, no rain in the spring along with a low snowpack in the mountains. But everyone on the system caught their needs for the year and then some. I only made it on the river twice and caught a total of 10 silvers with a rod n reel.

It's a type of smoked salmon. Cold smoked and air dried, with no actual cooking of the flesh. The end porduct is transparent enough you can see light through the meat and it's a sweet lightly smoked flavor that is every bit as good as any candy.
