Alaska has lots of sloughs, and mosquitos everywhere
But I cover my face with a face net to keep the bugs at bay, and wade into shallow pools such as this to take pictures.![]() And for you folks who want to move to Alaska, I took this photo by mid May near North Pole (yes, the cold winters last forever). There were a few geese on the ice ahead. |

No. It's right next to the Richardson Highway, on Farmers Loop Road in Salcha. Google Earth should be able to bring you right to it.
