Default Alaska slough

Alaska has lots of sloughs, and mosquitos everywhere But I cover my face with a face net to keep the bugs at bay, and wade into shallow pools such as this to take pictures.


And for you folks who want to move to Alaska, I took this photo by mid May near North Pole (yes, the cold winters last forever). There were a few geese on the ice ahead.

No. It's right next to the Richardson Highway, on Farmers Loop Road in Salcha. Google Earth should be able to bring you right to it.
