Thanks HeartsinAK,

I've already been fortunate enough to experience some of that musher closeness and assistance already.

It's good for my wife to hear that you liked the area so much.

Two Rivers is wonderful. I have lived here for just over a year and have no complaints. We wanted to live a bit outside of the city and this place is perfect (moved up from lower 48). I am a Brit and have lived in the States for over 10 years - I have to say that I never want to leave Alaska. Two Rivers is an easy drive from Fairbanks (I drive it every day to go to work) and yes there are frost heaves on the road, but they are annually maintained and you find them on most roads outside of the city limits. I don't mush dogs, so you don't have to be a Musher to live in Two Rivers. We use the trails for 4 wheeling etc and they just go on forever. I like to say that this place is a little bit of Heaven on Earth. You will love it here. Good luck!!
