I don't think it would make the traffic seem fast in Chicago. You are right the 405 is listed as #1 for the worst traffic but I- 94 in Chicago is #3. (according to Forbes Magazine.) But either way I'm sorry to hear it upsets you if someone does 45 instead of 55. I guess the older I get the more laid back I become and small issues like this don't upset me.

Same here. I'm wondering what the big deal is.
You should see Egan Drive in Juneau sometimes. There is absolutely no where to go here, and everyone seems to be in a hurry to get there.
But then I didn't attend the Kamakazi School of Driving, so I don't understand these people.

Apparently I'm the only one who thinks that, if possible, one should drive the posted speed limit as a curtesy to the other drivers on the road. Of course, courtesy is the last thing Alaskan drivers consider. They are typically too wrapped up in their cell phone conversations, applying make-up, or reading the morning paper as they drive well below the speed limit to even consider other drivers on the road.

You should drive the Seward highway in mid-summer some time. Slow moving rv's, over size boats being towed, one and a half million slow moving sightseeing tourists. Thank goodness there are a few doublw wide lanes for slow vehicles. It sure can test a persons roadrage. And I believe slow vehicles that don't pull over to let others pass cause most accidents.

Don't ever drive the Seward Highway in the summer near any holidays, very dangerous. Nothing like a bottle neck from the bottom of Turnagain Pass up to Anchorage. No one ever seems to use pull-outs anymore.

I have, frequently, and I agree, and that is why we have a state law that makes it a ticketable offense to drive below the posted speed limit with five or more vehicles behind them. I just wish the law was enforced after tourist season ends.

I have driven in a lot of lower-48 states and Europe, and Alaska has the worst drivers that I've ever encountered, by far.
I beg to differ. California, in particular, the big cities like Los Angeles and San 'Fran' are far worst. I understood, N.Y. is really bad also. Even these cities are innocents compared to some of the cities in Europe and China. If you think Alaska is bad, try Rome or try competing w/drivers in Shanghai or Beijing.

I really don't care about any of this inconsequential bs at all although I'd rather people drove a little more slowly than drive like Heather who used to haul ass up and down east Petersville road bouncing from pothole to pothole and endangering everything in her path.

I'd rather someone would just air drop me some Captain Morgan's so I could have a hot tasty beverage but I guess that won't be happening any time soon.

Oh by the way, Heather, if you're reading this, you're probably going to be going straight to hell for all the times you ran me off the road, and I do have to wonder how on earth you could drive that way with your little kiddies in the van with you. You're lucky you never hit a moose. Ftttt to you.

Default get used to it, it's DWO

Get used to it, it's called DWO...driving while old.

I know, I know, there's still lotsa you guys out there that still drive just as fast and reckless as you did as teenagers, but then theres the rest of the world.

I guess you'll just have to start enjoying the scenery more and stressing a bit less.
