Census counts now say that Hispanics are the Majority in the US now, so cacasians are now a minority too! Where do we sign up?

Being a minority isn't so bad, User 2, what with all the scholarships and such. Besides, I think we caucasians are due for some minority-time! Might give some of us a better perspective...

It's premature and immature of you to suppose I know 'exactly' what he was talking about.

I could form some uninformed supposition in my mind from a first reading of what he said, but since I'm not in the habit of prejudging others, I asked for some clarification.

As to your own habit of assuming you know what someone else means when they think they might be speaking for themselves, that kind of thing leads to errors not attributable to whomever you may have attempted to assign such meanings.

My question was clearly directed to someone other than yourself, and I'll assume someone other than yourself is capable of speaking for themselves.

Perhaps you'd like to quantify those statements.

In terms of scholarship availability, the vast majority of scholarships are not determined by any consideration of minority status. In light of that, it's somewhat revealing that you consider minorities to have some advantage in that respect.

And such?

Perhaps you'd like to further define 'such', so that you can lend some justification to that inference.

It might behoove you to question just whom you might wish to include in your determinate 'we'. Before you automatically deign to assign some characteristic to anyone, you might use a little caution, you cannot be always be so sure of what others might mean, eh?. Should you misjudge, where is the accountability for your error, will that other bear stigma because of your speculation?

I'm not convinced that all you wish to include in your 'we' are as receptive of the idea they want or need any perception other than one they may already hold.

As to what others are due, you might want to temper that speculative preconception also.

I really didn't get the point of this thread. Being that I grew up in Alaska and graduated from school there, what does this mean. It was pretty diverse then and that years and years ago.

I mean for statistical purposes "white" is every ethnic background except black and hispanic.

......among numerous other ethnicities, ...you've neglected to mention at least one of the more prominent ethnic groups included in most statistical analysis, ....asians.
