Well the warning sign I read didn't mention "fatties" so maybe it's a Juneau thing!

I think it is time to outlaw government.

I am not an anarchist, but I believe that I am supposed to live in a free country.

What happened?

I'll have to check out wine night Barnacle!

Nice pic of Skinny Dicks. Restarant and bar owners named Dick have so many great options.... I've been in a Crabby Dicks, and a Dirty Dicks Crabs... seems like if you survive middle school- with a name like Dick you're set for life.

I think smoking bans in bars are so stupid, I have been in a city with such a ban and you know what happens- a crowd of people stand outside the door and greet all the incoming and passersby with big puffs of smoke. I havn't ever known anyone who frequented bars and complained about smoke- it's just something you expect to go hand in hand.

(All the above is about tobacco smoking, lol, not "fatties" which I suspect is something else entirely.)

sorry - I can't resist running with the 'Dicks' idea . . .

If a guy named dick owned a business, depending on his personality, you might use one of the following before 'Dicks'

Lucky
Gimpy
Stinky
Fat
Happy
Tiny
Old
Lumpy
Crusty

Ok, you get the idea . . .

Smoking has been banned in bars in Anchorage since December 31, 2000. The Anchorage assembly has also banned smoking within 20 feet of any private or public entrances, within 50 feet of any hospital, and in public parks since July 2006.

Begging your pardon, but smoking has only been banned in fully licensed bars in Anchorage since this past summer - here is the exception in the original ordinance . . .

Only establishments with a full beverage dispensary license under Alaska Statute 04.11.090 have an option to be exempt from the smoke-free requirements as a "bar" as defined in the smoke-free ordinance. The ordinance defines a bar as a premises licensed under AS 04.11.090 that does not employ anyone under 21 years old, does not serve anyone under 21 years old unless accompanied by parent or legal guardian, and does not allow smoke to filter into other areas where smoking is prohibited.
