Resting up in Anchorage before I finish my journey to Seward. Nice drive most of the way, did hit snow in Saskatchewan and late in BC. Did notice gas a bit higher in Canada compared to 2012, but I expected it. Roads pretty good except the section of the Alaska Highway from Destruction Bay to the Beaver Creek.

Trying to figure out why gas much higher in Glenallen compared to Tok. Figured it would be the other way around. Pleasantly surprised to find gas under $3.70 on JBER.

Highlight of my trip was the breakfast at Toad River Lodge! Just kidding, it was great, but the scenery and wildlife were the highlights. This was my sixth trip up, but scenery never gets mundane.

Looking forward to another great summer in Seward!

That last stretch of highway right before Beaver Creek and especially after and part of the way into Alaska, is awful!! I'm pretty sure that's where my alignment got screwed, that small part of the whole 5, 000+ mile drive.

Was that section adopted by the "Alignment Factory"? I also wonder when body shops "adopt" a section of highway... Makes me pause for a second and wonder.

I would not be surprised. If so I give them props for a great racket!
