Please, no long diatribes and back-n-forth...just trying to get a sense of the 'issues' going on in your 'mysterious' state.

Well, it is to me!

That it is! I"ll be interested in the replies.

As for me, I'm always focused on getting ready for winter and getting through winter to worry about politics.

Long haired pot smoking libertarians, and hippies with guns.

At least that's how I like to see it. Plenty of normal boring people too though I guess, but I think we have exceptionally less "party allegiance" than most states.

Narcissistic, narrow minded, corrupt, incompetent, no different than any other political system/locale.

Right wing Tea Party leaning with a Governor that wants to bankrupt the state appeasing oil companies. Seanoco Phillips is his nickname.

I do have a political question - Does the Lt. Governor run separate to the Governor? In other words, they are not a "team"? I catch news paper articles and I am confused how that works and what power the Lt. Governor has?

In Florida, they run with the Governor and have little, if any, real power. Obviously the have the governors ear though. And usually handle important projects for the Governor.
