The place we are looking at to rent is close to George Parks Hwy and S Elizabeth Dr intersection, about 10 miles west of Wasilla. Can anyone tell us anything about the area? Good? Bad? Does it flood?

Thanks

M&K

It's a pretty normal area, really. Probably not too much different from the rest of Wasilla, just a little bit out of town. I don't see why it would flood compared to anywhere else around there, but it might also depend on the property (how high above the water table). I do see some boggy areas in the aerial imagery, but it doesn't look like anything is built on that. It's nice and close to the 3 Bears, at least.

There's a vet clinic right there that I've used before (nice people), and the local gas station is pretty cheap.
