To all of the wonderful people in the Alaska forum,

I hope you and yours a safe and happy holiday season.

You have been very helpful and kind to a stranger that will soon be moving to your state; my decision to make this change in my life was due in no small part to the great folks on these forums.

May your holiday season be filled with belonging and cheer and may your next year bring wonderful adventures for all.

Did I ever mention that I'm jealous. You are leaving one of my favorite places to eat, for my favorite place to walk around. Every time I visit New Orleans, I gain weight, impossible to get Cajun cookin' in N.C. When I visited Alaska, I lost weight, not because I didn't eat, I certainly did, but, there is so much to see and do. Even the air in Alaska seems better, sweeter somehow, the water was definitely colder. I truly dislike the curse of the Green eyed Monster, it blinds me to the good around me.

Dusty,

I realy like New Orleans, but it has really changed in the last few years, and not for the better mostly.

But yeah, we still have great food.

If you want, PM me and I can arrange to have food shipped direct to you from here.
Would hate for you to wither away; it's the least I could do...

Also, for you AK folks on the forum, if you have a specific "I can't get it shipped here" item of New orleans food in mind, let me know and I can likely pack it in my household stuff when I relocate.

Have a great New Year!
