Default CABIN FEVER...or should I say City Fever???

Okay, so I've been in Anchorage since Nov 30. And I'm going STIR CRAZY!

Work is keeping me busy enough with plenty of projects on the table but man....

I'm used to being in Duluth and hitting up the north shore whenever I felt like it. However, now, I'm driving an absolute junker that can literally only make it to and from work! So leaving town is out of the question. I am going CRAZY!

I don't know why I'm venting here....maybe just to vent. I'm going crazy folks, just CRAZY!

I think I'm heading to Talkeetna, but that's not for another two weeks! TWO WEEKS! *CRY* If I knew any of you better, I'd beg you to take me out of here!!!! lol

*end rant*

Thanks, I needed that!

I hear ya, Tessa. Even though I have lived here forever, it still happens. Cabin fever I mean. I try to get out as often as possible, and that seems to work. Sorry to hear about your vehicle being unreliable. =(

No worries Rance...I won't be driving tonight. Frankly, I"m thinking of hitting the liquor store and staying in actually...but I think that would be even more pathetic lol

Hello Tessa_marie, wanted to ask you a question on apartments, since you seem to like yours (lol, just kidding). Since you are pretty new to the area, and thinking that you may have checked into some apartments.... here's the question(s): I will be looking for a place - maybe an apartment - maybe a single family residence. I have looked up apartments through the Anchorage Daily News, and the most bedrooms listed was 2 - I need at least 3 bedrooms. Did you come across any apartments with 3 bedrooms? Also, I seem to recall somewhere on these posts of areas NOT to live in... anyone care to refreshen my memory as to what areas to avoid? I will be working in one the the hospitals, so would like to have a place close to these. We are even looking into (maybe) renting a 3bed/2bath single family house, if we don't find an apartment. So, tessa, through your searching, did you come across anything like what I described? We are open to "lease-to-own" as well.... thanks
