I have lost the keys to our little Sentry safe. It says if I have the model and serial # I can order more from the company but I have lost them(along with the keys) or something, as I have been looking for days for them. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get more keys without that info, heck does anyone know how to break into one of them. I need to get some real estate records out and now I'm stuck.

I didn't think a locksmith would touch it without me knowing all the serial numbers. My husband says just stick a screwdriver into the lock and bust it but I am not sure that would even open it.

LOL, I don't have an upstairs but maybe if I give it a swift toss across the yard it might open. I don't care if the stupid thing breaks I need the papers out of it by Friday. Guess I might have to call a locksmith tomorrow and see what they say.

Is it one of those small fireproof safes you can carry like a brief case? If so...a typical butter knife will do it. Slip the blade into the crack and inch or two, then slide it along the seam. I believe start to the left of the lock and slide it to the right. It's been awhile since I've done it but it is do-able.

It's exactly what I had. A butter knife will do it in under 10 seconds. It's just a little flap of metal that turns upward when you turn the key to lock it. Jam the knife in there, tip it on it's side and push down hard or hammer the knife with another tool. Just have to flip that small piece of metal down enough to release the lid. I'll bet you get it.
