I will send pics. My brother-in-law, who played baseball in college, has a wicked throw. Last year he left the bead strands in the plastic pouches and was trowing them into car and house windows. My crazy sister and her neighbor were hitting the teenage boys with lowriding pants in the butt when they would bend over to pick beads up off the ground. Had to turn the A/C on today, it was only 78, but the humidity was around 92%. Like breathing through a wet towel. How everyone is doing great.

We are all busy praying for snow. Some of us were hunkered down a bit from the -40 we had. Warmed up today so getting out and about a bit.

And here we are complaining that its 45! What do you do to occupy your time? It is difficult during the winter to keep yourself occupied and sane?

Mostly the sane part, but for some of us that's a yearlong thing.
I watched like two seconds of a discovery channel show about weird fauna of Denali, and they were talking about ice worms- little wormy creatures that actually live in, burrow into, etc, ice. The really interesting thing is you can freeze the little buggers down to unspeakable subzero temperatures without much problem, but if you place them in an environment above about 40 degrees, they actually melt.
Sounds like Alaskans to me!

Well before TV, video games, internet, drinking, I think everyone chopped wood to keep warm.

Sane? maybe THAT's why the girls say "odds are good but the goods are odd".

Cross country skiing does it for me. Sort of a meditation effect. Keeps me mellow. Well that and a snort of blackberry brandy every hour or so.

OK, strange about the worms, Articthaw LMAO, and I would imagine that the blackberry brandy can't hurt. They seem to be getting into Absinthe here. Strange stuff. 27 days to Mardi Gras, but the Cru de Fou parade is 1/25. I will try for pictures then. Have a good night all.

Yes there are ice worms in the glacial ice. Years ago when I was just a youngster...we saw some at Portage Glacier. Ok it was like 1968 and the glacier was pretty darn close back then.
