My dog was barking at something in the trees and I looked over and got a glimps of what I at first thought were 2 deer, but I'm told there are no deer in the Houston area, so do Caribou come around here? I didn't get a clear look at where ever it was.

The nearest deer would be Prince William Sound. I doubt you'll see caribou in Houston. So it must've been moose.

Maybe a couple small moose, I guess. I'll keep an eye out and see if I can get a better look, provided they come back.

There has been big foot sightings up that way. Might be one (or two) of them around.

I have property in Wasilla, where I live part time, but most of the time I live in the Houston area. I'm not sure where you got the idea that there are no deer in the Houston area. I live only 30 minutes away from Houston proper, and we have so many deer here that we have to be careful driving to avoid hitting them, especially at dawn and dusk. No caribou here, so I'd bet money it was deer

There is a Huston, AK and a Huston, TX. Make sure you are refering to the correct one by putting the state behind it.

Contrary to popular belief, we do have caribou here in Houston. Almost no one sees them though because they don't think to look in the trees, which is where they live in these parts.
