I'm not skeptical of God. I am skeptical of those who keep trying to shove their version of whatever man-made religion down my throat.

I'm quite aware that the book you're advocating isn't the bible, arindoll. What's offensive to me is persons such as yourself who try to foist your religious beliefs on others. Why do you do that? Does it somehow validate your religion in your own mind to convince others to believe as you do?
Not that I'm really interested in the answer.

I also don't have the gall to knock on my neighbors' doors and ask if they would like to know the best way to worship.

Mal, I couldn't agree more, it is an ego trip for them, it's an " I know the truth and I must share it with the ignorant" mindset. of course they disguise this attitude with an air of humility, a false cloak of piety, I am not always kind when they hit my door.

The other thing that really bothers me is the thumpers "love" for the Jewish people. Their premise is that they love them because God commands them to do so because they are chosen. What the DON'T tell you is that their "love" has an ulterior motive: to eventually convert them to Christianity in order to bring on the second coming of Christ. I just want to puke even thinking about this. Talk about using people for your own benefit.

I'm not trying to shove religion down your throat. I have come across wrong. It's just a great read. You don't have to believe in it. I believe live and let live too. Each to their own.
Oh, and I didn't read it as a skeptic, I think it's good for believers as well. It proves how over 500 bible prophecies came true with 100% accuracy, proven by non-Christian history...we know this because they found the Dead Sea scrolls in the 1940s, etc.
But it really is a challenge (I didn't say that to be ugly), the first half of the book is like a biochemistry lesson...he proves evolution to be scientifically impossible.
Anyway...have a great day in Alaska! ~ Thumper
