It depends on the game and the time of year. For buffalo, around Delta and Tok areas, for caribou it depends on the herd and the time of the season. For moose, it depends on where in the state you're located. Musk ox and bear, dall sheep and goats require a special license and tag.

Don't lie on your applications for harvest tickets. If you aren't a citizen of Alaska, don't say you are or you will pay a hefty fine and be banned from hunting for a year and possibly have your gun taken away.

Do you have mule deer there? That may sound silly, but we've never been there. So if my husband basically wanted to hunt (and fish) everything and we moved there, would the best location be the Palmer/Wasilla/anc area or Kenai??? And what is the cost of the bear tag? And do brown bear and black bear require 2 separate tags??
