To show that this is not just some utopian fantasy, some of you might want to look into what Finland has accomplished.
They have a government sponsored initiative to create a similar system and they are achieving tremendous results. They are proposing organic, sustainable, locally produced food sources in their country and they have all the same climactic concerns as we would. Rejection of factory farming techniques and genetically engineered crops is crucial to a viable food production regime. We could take Finlands example and build upon the same... There's really no insurmountable obstacle, all we need is the nurturing of the will to make it happen. . .. |
