My husband and I moved to Alaska in June 2014. Should we file the PFD Application right now? Is this application period for eligible 2015 folks to receive the PFD in 2016, or is it the application period from 2014 folks to be paid in 2015?

Just a little confused... thanks for your help.

You will be eligible to apply in Jan 2016 and receive the money in the fall. Your one year is up in June 2015, therefore you can apply in next open enrollment(enrollment is Jan to Mar).

I agree. You didn't live here for all 2014, so you don't qualify for a dividend for that year, which is paid in October of 2015.

Thank guys. I knew we didn't qualify to be paid for 2014, but just wasn't sure if the current enrollment period was for 2015, or 2014. I appreciate the help!

Went through the same thing. Thought I needed to register this year. (Well, everyone in the family BUT me, since I am still employed out of state)

In the meantime, find out what you have as proof of Alaska residence, like your job, driver's license, registrations. My son in law was elgible for a PFD last year but it was denied for not having the proper proof.

Got rental receipts, paystubs, driver's license, voting card and vehicle registration. If that doesn't prove it, then I'll just hang up my hat.

I applied for my first PFD last year and the process was not nearly as onerous as I expected. I was prepared with rental receipts and utility bills but did not need them. My husband had to resubmit his "two people who can vouch for you" info, but I'm pretty sure that was just because his handwriting is terrible, so my best advice to you is to write neatly!
