Default just curious?

I've been to platinum several times over the years, you might have to find a place to rent from a local there are no motels. There are some locals to watch for,one for sure,e-mail me direct and i'll gladly give you his name. I was also wondering about the outfit your working for?

[SIZE=2]You may want to contact Knik Construction. Knik's main office is in Seattle Wa. They may supply room and board for one or two folks, short term. The Mine is about 12 miles from the site an isn't an option. Platinum Commercial Co has a hotel here now. Avalon Exploration has rented all the rooms and it is occupied until the end of July. Depending on the number of folks Avalon brings out they may have room for one or two additional folks. Right now I only have it set up for 12 occupants. Maybe a cot can be set up but you'll need to work lodging out with Avalon when they arrive on the 24th of this month.
John Nelson has a two story, 2 bedroom plus a loft that may be available. Water to the structure may be an issue. There are two other structures that are considered honey bucket houses that are available. But you will need to shower at BC Contractor's camp.

Can you tell me more about XS Platinum? I knew that Avalon was in Platinum helping to search for hardrock platinum, but I haven't heard what, if anything, might have been done for placer platinum? Did XS end up working out there in 2008? DO you know what was done? Do you have any contact information for the company or the people that worked for them in 2008?

My uncle, Andrew Olson and his brothers owned and operated the mine from the 30's to the 80's. I would love to go to Platinum as I have never been there. My father would leave Seattle on March 15 of each year and return on November 15th at the end of the season. If you are interested read the book "The Platinum King" by Jan Lindstrom and Karen Olson. A fascinating story about Andrew and his journey from Sweden to America and then to Alaska. A wonderful book about a pioneer in America.
