You really weren't joking then....
If you were to go riding out on your steed and try to rope a moose, it would be at least a $1000 fine. That is, if you were lucky enough to survive it.
I truly do despair ....
ffs. You've gotta be trolling here, cowboy.

I have worked with the BLM for rounding up wild mustangs and mules and then would tame the mustangs so they could be gentle enough to be auctioned to the public and fetch a decent price. I'm just debating of keeping my tac and gear or selling it before I head to Fairbanks, already sold off my horses. I was just wondering what it would be like roping a moose and maybe do some farming on the side if it can be done legally. I would consider doing this on the side from my regular job.

You might want have wanted to keep the horses and tack, Alaska is a great place to ride a horse.
But you can't moose farm.
Elk, reindeer, musk ox, bison, yes, ....moose, no.
If you just want to rope something for the fun of it, try a Winnabago.

Hay Metl,
I would even be willing to pay the $1000. fine as long as there is no jail time involved. So I could at least have a chance of roping a moose. LOL

Cursing, maybe you didn't hear clearly -- messing around in any way with moose is ILLEGAL. It's also INSANE, given the general temperament, size and strength of moose. Get another hobby aspiration that's worth doing.

Cursing, you clearly aren't smart enough to live up here, though perhaps you could make it in Anchorage. Good luck if you do move here, and if I see a guy trying to rope a moose, I'm not sure if I'll call Fish and Game to save his stupid ass or let Darwinism take its course.
By the way, because you're advocating illegal activity in this thread, both it and you should be removed.

I have been searching the AF&G regulations Division of Wildlife Conservation and noticed that only through cultural purposes you can obtain a moose 5 AAC 92.034. PERMIT TO TAKE GAME FOR CULTURAL PURPOSES.
Alaska Miscellaneous Regulations and Game Management Units, Alaska Department of Fish and Game
Unless, A permit may not be issued if the taking of the game can be reasonably accommodated under existing regulations. There may be some obstacles to work through but I do feel that going through the proper channels you can obtain a permit to farm moose.

Yea,
I saw that video Warpman and am sorry that it happened to the old man. The difference is I would be working from the back of a horse. I don't like the way livestock is herded now day with motorcycles and quads it is just natural.
