This guy's gotta be trolling, warpt. Either that or there's lead in the water he's drinking, lots of it.

In the first place, cowboy, you start chasing a moose with a horse and the moose is either going to outrun you or charge you (in which case neither yourself or your horse will have a chance in hell), unless your horse falls and breaks a leg or it's neck on the terrain here. Kind of a shame that you'd put an innocent horse through that.

Uh...good luck with your upcoming move here. Eat lots of salmon; you're gonna need the brain cells.

It's also illegal to shove a live moose out of a moving airplane (for real, no joke).

This is friggin hilarious, best laugh I've had all day.

Personally, I love moose. Just not enough to get up close and friendly. And we're definitely gonna cuddle after they get done with my carcass!

Raising moose is not as easy as it sounds. First you have to get the Christmas lights off of them. Make sure they are unplugged or you could be in for a shock. Electrical shocks don't seem to faze moose. It actually makes them feel like they are in the pre-rut stage.

Then after that you have to get them hooked up to the sled. It looks a lot easier than it is. If you have horses it may make it easier. Attach old moose antlers to your horses heads and the moose will just follow along.

I actually find raising black bears much easier. They don't require any special feeding. They'll find there own food. Make sure you keep yours out of reach or they will find it themselves. By all means do not try to raise your moose and bears in the same pen, stall or corral. As we all know to well all you find are blood and guts in the morning as these two will fit to the death and then the wolves will pick the carcasses clean. Bears really like bear grass. Good luck.

I used to have a cow that came into the yard same time every day. I used to give her a carrot and she'd wander off. One day I thought how cool would it be to sit on her back. So when she showed up I got up onto a stump in the yard and she stepped right perfect next to it. We had a video camera and everything. But when it came down to it...I had this vision in my minds eye...of her reaching around, grabbing me by the leg, throwing me to the ground, and stomping the living daylights out of me. They are pretty dang big when your standing next to one. And they can punch and jab with those front hooves like a well seasoned boxer.
You throw a rope on a moose and for starters you'll never get it off. The cow will run with the rope taking you and maybe your horse with it. Or she'll get it tangled on a tree out in the middle of nowhere and suffer a cruel death. If your fortunate enough to be hung up in your own rope...picture yourself bouncing like a rag doll off of trees and rocks...and only coming loose when your dead and rotting body has turned to mush and rips apart on the next snag.

hey, if you're reeally serious about this, you need to start over in your training.
Moose's (or is it Meese's), are not like cows. You need to start small in your training.
Go find yourself a momma and calf, and practice ropeing the calf.
This will give you some insight on their temperment.
They're all actually pretty predictable. Doing it once is all you need to do to learn.

Call Tom Williams in Palmer if you are serious about it.

But as User said...you can't go out in the wild and lasso a moose, it's illegal. I'd get a real kick out of watching you try it though.
Marty, I suspect he would get more than a kick out of it too!

Unless, A permit may not be issued if the taking of the game can be reasonably accommodated under existing regulations. There may be some obstacles to work through but I do feel that going through the proper channels you can obtain a permit to farm moose.
