The two shorter races are done with. The main race is still in progress. It is going to be a slow last 50 miles from the Tuluksak Checkpoint to Bethel. There is a lot of standing water on the River. The front runners can leave there after their mandatory 4 hour layover. The front runners can be expected sometime tonight anywhere from 7pm-midnight. You can find more information at the race web page at Kuskokwim300 or listen in where I work, Home . We are expecting another storm in the next few days here. Here is the weather link to bethel. Default Relocation information

Relocating to bethel in just a bit....have so many un-anwsered questions!
I want to work for the airline, but have to complete an in person inteview to get the position....my boyfriend is going to be a police officer in Bethel and is extremly excited for his new position. Does any one know anything about working for Alaska Air? Or have any information about how I can get a customer service job in bethel?!?
We have a small dog, he is comming with. Hope its not too cold for him... Does any one else have 20# dogs in bethel...do they jump into the snow well!?!
We are getting our Jeep shipped from Chicago, does any one know how dangerous it is to leave items in the vehicle while having it shipped. I hear things may be stolen but its so expensive to ship items....im thinking about taking the risk an packing the vehicle full of items.....
Well any help would be great! And see you in a month behtel!!!

Congrats, I think. I guess it would depend who you are shipping the vehicle with, I don't think I would hesitate to pack it, though the shipping should be by weight also, I would think, but as long as to that point, fill it up, Cover it with a tarp and lock the doors...There should also be some type of insurance. As far as the dog - we are on the peninsula, but have 2 cocker spaniels not much more than 20#, and some days last winter they wanted to be out, and others not so much - but did do their business and right back in, but they are sissy house-people dogs anyhow

You have two choices on shipping it here. You can put it on a plane and fly it out with Everts Air or barge it. Barging it is the cheaper of the two. Barging runs around $1000 to $2000 depending on the length of it. Airfreight runs up to 3grand. Alaska Airlines is always hiring weekly it seems. You'd have no problem getting a job there depending on your work background. There are lots of pets here and a lot of packed trails in the winter, no problems there.

Default Alaska city of dreams

Last year I visited Alaska and met many citizens there. I found them very jolly and hardworking. Really Alaska is the city where dreams come true....

Mod Cut...no advertising web sites

If you had really visited Alaska you would know it's a state not a city. Geesh...
