That was taken out North Douglas Highway. The other one is the UAS campus, which is in Auke Bay. However, if you look closely you can see that they are the same mountains!
![]() If it wasn't all covered in snow you'd be able to see the glacier too... Welcome to the forum... but not to Alaska! ![]() |

See, you say things like that and suddenly it'll be negative twenty again!!
![]() It feels the same here too. Of course, there's still like half a foot of snow on the ground, but there's something of spring in the air. Little twittering brown birds everywhere... heck, I accidentally walked through a patch of mud today. If there's anything out there that signals the coming of spring in southeast, it's a good patch of mud. |

I got the box Karla! After I had just sent Sweden hers! So now I'll have to hand carry all that candy to her on the 30th of this month! And your t-shirts are on their way!
Warpt I dropped a dozen beetle kill, and brought home another 15 logs. I've milled 20 or so and have another 30 to go. The bummer is the lake is melting fast in this 45 degree weather. I don't think I'm going to get to drag them to the island behind the snowmachine. Looks like many boat trips hauling one maybe two at a time. It's gonna be a long summer.
