Aaaww! Abbey is SO cute, Redhawk and Dreamweavin'! Have you tried the Cope Park/Perserverance trail? I'm not sure if it's still closed or not, but it's a lovely trail.

I hiked up the Perseverance as far as Ebner Falls a few weeks back, didn’t have time to go any farther. You are right it is a fantastic trail, the scenery was fantastic!

My apologies, Barkley, for not replying to this sooner. I have four lenses now and will have to stay with that. I went out and bought a new Jeep GC the other day...my funds are slightly short

I just had to buy a new camera bag. Mine doesn't meet the requirements for carry on luggage. I bought a Crumpler 7 million dollar home.

You will have to let on how this one works for you - it looks as though it may be a good one! I purchased a Tamrac 5550 Adventure 10 backpack before our move...it was supposed to hold all my camera/photo gear and my laptop which has a 17" screen. It did fine - but it does NOT hold a 17" screen-laptop - the zippers broke first thing and I had to rope the thing shut to carry it on the plane. Otherwise, it's a great bag for all my camera gear.

LowePro makes a great knapsack/backpack that should work. Let me find a link.

My main concern was finding a bag that could carry the Sigma 50-500mm lens that I bought specifically for this trip & that I could carry onto the aircraft. Hopefully I can cram everything, well most everything in my present bag into this one. This is my present bag.

The Tamrac one I ordered stated specifically it was designed for a laptop with a 17" screen...but when I packed the notebook and all my camera gear, the zippers went willy nilly.
