LOL...I seen that on Americas funniest Videos. I've often thought that if I go there, I'm going to try that. Looks like that will come true.

Heck put your AK name and address on it and who knows...you might find a pen pal or something. Or the penal system.

For those of you tuning in at home, I'm hearing from my buddies at the Weather Channel that more snow is on the way for the Southeast US, even as far south as Alabama!
A present from those of us who are snow-gifted.

Better yet, put Rances name on it with a "if lost, please return to" label on it.

Thats quite an itinerary for three weeks, it'll be somewhat grueling in the "if this is Wed, I must be in Spain" sense but it sounds like fun.

I really liked Switzerland and traveled there quite a bit when I was stationed in W. Germay in the late eighties. You gotta love a country where the government gives everyone their own machine gun and lets you take it home when you're done playing Army for the weekend.

Seems like every little town still has their own active rifle range, and half the "airports" in the country are really roads that planes can land on when they need to. Pretty country too, although a bit pricey.

Warptman, looks like a lot of places for the time(jealousy talking!). On the other hand, you will be able to narrow down the countries/cities that you really enjoy and plan seperate trips. Sounds like a blast though. My buddy wants me to go to Ireland for St. Patricks day for a whopping 5 days. I don't know if it is worth the trip for that amount of time. My only expenses would be the ticket and any beer money, so it wouldn't be too bad in that reguard.

I like it warptman...sort of like a sampler's platter....you know....you get to taste and try a little bit of everything and then later...you can come back for more. I wouldn't worry about not being able to see much of one place in such little time....heck, even if you spend months in a country, you still see very little.

Warptman, you lucky thing! Stop talking about London and Paris and the European continent, or I will never want to move away from here! (Sorry Rance, you'll going to have to get a job in Norway or, hm, maybe England)

Ace hotel at West Kensington? I think I've stayed there. I've lost my "hotel souvenirs", but if you post a picture of it later on, we'll might know for sure. Just know that Kensington and especially West Kensington is absolutely gorgeous in spring/summer. Plus it's got some very nice old book shops (love them, they were too cheap)

Just be prepared, anyone who goes to London or England in general- you may never want to leave... (And if you do, you'll be longing back for the rest of your life... and will be returning many time...)

That's what we should do too, Ranceo. The interrail, just like the Alaskan family we met at Öxnered. That'd be awesome. Ok, Warptman, you'll be our Interrail-tester. Make sure to discover ALL its potential flaws and positives, and report back with DETAILS

Sweden...if they won't give me Christmas off this year...I will seriously consider looking for work in Norway. Of course I may not get Christmas off there either. Sigh...

I'm going to sneak away from work sometime today and go register for the course. Its four months away until the trip. The first class starts next Thursday. I haven't been back to school in such a long time, I'm sure I'll feel out of place and the oldest one there aside from the instructor. I'm actually going to have to write a paper, I can't even read my own writing. The instructor will prolly let me take a writing class. I'm pumped though.
