My sister lives in Wasilla, she really enjoys it out there. I've often thought of living there, too. When I'm ready to leave Bethel I'll probably move there, I don't think I can live in Anchorage.

It isn't a hell hole that everyone discribes because most don't live there and have no clue except what they hear from others that don't live there and a lot of the postings here support that fact....
I used to live quite close by, actually. But you can't be talking about me, because I've never called it a hellhole. It has a significant meth problem; probably one of the results of the Anchorage overflow. Rural places all over the country are being infected by this.

Nope not at all..... Why you feeling guilty

You are correct, it is a National issue, not that of just Wasilla.

At one time in my youth I was a police officer in Alaska, and I still look at everyone and when someone does something that isn't "Normal", I can tell by their mannerisms, that sense never goes away. Wasilla is a lot safer than going to the Diamond Mall in Anchorage...

Not feeling guilty, just wanted to circumvent the sort of accusation I sometimes get here every time I breathe in the wrong octave.

There sure seem to be a lot of mullets in Wasilla though. Can someone please explain to me why that is?

I heard this mullet thing mentioned quite a bit before we ever moved up here, so when we arrived everytime we went out I looked at everyone's hair...it was quite the sight, I must admit I have seen 3 people in all of Wasilla with mullets, 2 were women . Although maybe the rest are at the mugshot but then again I haven't been in there...yet

I think Glitch and I got our hands slapped on the "Your Sarah" thread in Anchorage forum. It's too easy to get sidetracked on some of these threads.

Hey Mal, why do you have a mullet anyways? Those are so 1980's!
