Blizzard Warning

Statement as of 10:46 AM AST on February 14, 2008


... Blizzard Warning in effect from 6 PM this evening to 5 am AST
Friday from Kachemak Bay to Caribou hills...

The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a Blizzard
Warning... which is in effect from 6 PM this evening to 5 am AST
Friday.

Snow will develop from Kachemak Bay to the Caribou hills area early
this evening. Very cold air will move in from the southwest dropping
temperatures through the 20s. Winds will increase to southwest 25
to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph resulting in blizzard conditions.
Conditions will gradually improve toward Friday morning as the
snow and winds diminish.

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to white-out
conditions... making travel extremely dangerous. All travel and
outdoor activity is strongly discouraged.

Nope...it's a lady from Canada. And I'm sure she did not register here just to give me advice, as there are a handfull of posts in the Canada forum. Yes I am serious...2 individuals have a bet that my relationship won't work with Sweden. One being a local lady about 30 miles from me.
