I just got a call from my Uncle telling me that my aunt had died 6 months ago from colon cancer. Merry frikin Christmas.

Noatak's cold is mitigated by it's proximity to the Bering. Still very cold, but not quite the chill of the Interior. Wiring should be done with ArticFlex(tm). Insulation on XHHW and THHN wire WILL shatter. Plastic totes are a one-time thing. If you're lucky.
Plastic and rubber not built for the environment have a tendency to become as fragile and brittle as glass at some of the lower extremes. If you buy a windmill, specify -60 as a minimum lower operating temp. Seals are ordinarily made of neoprene or silicon and may not withstand extreme low temps. Village power (if you are on the village grid) is less reliable than Outside. It depends on the plant and the operator. Not a lot of anything out that way. Not sure if Noatak has a village or AC store at all.

I am sorry to hear that, Barkley. He might have been a little wrapped up in his own to grief and forgot to let you know.

Sorry to hear that Barkley. Wasn't that around the time of your Alaska trip? Maybe he didn't want to spoil it for you and then forgot he didn't tell you when you got back.
