Intentional blurring is a good, creative technique. I am sure you post and get lots of pointers from the photography section of citydata. Do you know about betterphoto.com site? It's an online photography shop/school with tons of info, articles, feedback, posters, a forum...really great. I just got done reading a book by the creator of the site regarding nature photography. Just want to throw some more encouragement at you. Just reading this book and performing some of the practical exercises has improved my eye for composition and technique (lighting, etc). I can now look at pics that Ithought were pretty good and realize see where I could improve them.
