Well it's in one piece but I haven't used it. Checking in through customs in Minneapolis I kept my small backpack and hand carried it the rest of the way.
I grabbed a window seat on the left front of the jet this morning in hopes of getting some alpine glow on Denali. I fell asleep while we were de-icing...never even woke up on take off...then woke up after we had passed the mountain. I was so pissed!
I did get a couple shots of the sky tho that has some neat color. But no mountain.

Coastal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 11:23 AM AKST on February 24, 2009
... Coastal flood advisory in effect from 10 am to 6 PM akst
Wednesday Jacksmith Bay to Hooper Bay...
The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a coastal
flood advisory... which is in effect from 10 am to 6 PM akst
Wednesday.
A strong storm currently along the western Aleutians will quickly
track across the Bering Sea tonight through Wednesday morning and
then track inland across the Yukon Delta Wednesday afternoon and
evening. Hurricane force westerlies out over the Bering Sea will
help build up seas to 30 feet or more. The surge generated from
this will translate through the ice pack to the Kuskokwim coast
late Wednesday morning through Wednesday afternoon... which
corresponds with high tide. This will lead to minor flooding
along the Kuskokwim Delta coast... especially along kuskowkim Bay.
Some sea ice may also be pushed onshore resulting in minor pile-up
of ice. Conditions are expected to quickly improve by Wednesday
evening as the tide GOES out.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A coastal flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
Special Weather Statement
Statement as of 11:50 AM AKST on February 24, 2009
... A strong Strom is expect to move on shore and over the Delta from
late tonight through Wednesday evening...
as the system moves on shore expect strong westerlies winds to push
the sea ice ahead of it... ice could build up on the beach to 10 feet
or more. Westerlies winds will gust 70 to 75 mph or more at times and
the visibility will be less than 1/4 mile with snow and blowing snow.
This system will move inland across the Kuskokwim Delta... the winds
are not expected to lay down but will remain very strong and the
visibility will also be near zero at times throughout Wednesday
evening making travel very dangerous across the Delta.

Takes practice. For instance, see how I just quoted your post? If you see someone's post that you want to respond to, just click on the "quote" button on the bottom right of that specific post & then start typing your response after the [/quote] that is at the end of the post you want to respond to.

Take care, Rance, seems to be the trend here......the "rigors' are making the rounds.
Me, I'm knocking-on-wood, throwing salt over my shoulder and carrying the rabbit foot in hopes of staying well so far...

Didn't watch the Oscars, forgot they were on.
The past few days it has been wonderful, warm and sunny, I've been outside playing and exploring.
Like today, went and checked out Knik Glacier. If I had more time, I may have tried to drive up to it.
