If your husband wants a fishing job, now is the time to begin. The end of summer is when they're winding down. There are fishing jobs year 'round, but they are few and far between, and without experience, he will be less likely to get one.

As for rentals, do you want an apartment or a house?

If you want an apartment, there are plenty of them, but most of them don't allow pets. If you want a house, most of the cheap ones don't allow pets or smoking, or they are are seasonal.

Also, what are your requirements for a house? Obviously, one of the houses with no running water and indoor plumbing will be much cheaper than a house up on Diamond ridge with 4 bedrooms, a heated garage, and bay windows facing the glaciers.
