I may actually go up there for the Chinese New Year just to some authentic food. I'm a sucker for Asian food. However, the people that run that city are some of the most brain-dead fools on the face of this planet. I'll not soon forget that one of the city supervisors was interviewed on the O'Reilly Factor and said, with a straight face, that we don't need a military and all that money should be spent on social programs. I'M NOT KIDDING!

However, speaking of Asian food, is there any decent Chinese-Thai restaurants in Wasilla(which we're planning on visiting very soon before making the final decision to get out of this hell-hole) or even Anchorage?

Now, now, I'm done with politics on this site. Moving up there is a very serious decision and I'm going to need honest advice from you natives so it doesn't make sense to antagonize anyone with my conservative ideals. I was a bit drunk last night and quite stressed out with my job, hence my rants. Sorry about that once again.

I wasn't being political, I was being philosophical. Seriously, imagine a world where we didn't need a military... Alas, I don't believe I'll be seeing that in my lifetime. Perhaps my grandchildren.
But back to the matter at hand. I would be very surprised if there wasn't a good chinese/thai place in Wasilla... certainly there are many in Anch. Here in Juneau we have several.

Excellent. As long as I have high-speed Internet and take-out Chinese, all is well with the world. Another question, how is the weather in Wasilla vs Juneau or even Anchorage? Not that I'm the least bit worried, just curious.

My fav in Anchorage is the Tempura Kitchen on Spenard Avenue. Some fine dining and also sushi.

Indeed.
Wasilla is not very far from Anch, I believe weather would be quite similar between the two. Southeast is warmer and significantly wetter than anch and the valley... In the winter we get fairly large amounts of snow, then it rains away, snow again, rain, on and on. Summer is mostly rain, average temp in the 60s to mid 70s.
