Wasilla is not very far from Anch, I believe weather would be quite similar between the two. Southeast is warmer and significantly wetter than anch and the valley... In the winter we get fairly large amounts of snow, then it rains away, snow again, rain, on and on. Summer is mostly rain, average temp in the 60s to mid 70s.

Sounds good to me. Is there any skiing near Wasilla or did I just ask a rhetorical question?

Arcticthaw got it right when he referenced John Wayne's opening comments in the movie the Shootist.

I won't be wronged; I won't be insulted; and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.

As long as you don't bring politics, religion, or sex into a conversation, you are likely to get along with just about everyone you meet in Alaska.

The Panda Chinese restaurant is suppose to be the best in Anchorage, and in the top 100 Chinese restaurants in the US. There are a lot of Asian restaurants in south central Alaska. In Wasilla alone there are at least four Thai restaurants.
