Sounds good to me. Is there any skiing near Wasilla or did I just ask a rhetorical question?

And thanks for the tips on the restaurants all of you.

You can take comfort in the knowledge that Alaska is a solid "red" state for a very good reason. Based upon the responders to your posts, you might think Alaska was full of left-wing liberals, but you couldn't be more wrong. We have a Republican Governor, a Republican majority in both houses of the state legislature, a Republican US House Representative, and two Republican US Senators. That should at least give you a clue as to the political leanings of the majority of Alaskans.

The prevailing Alaskan attitude wants as little government as possible. In 1994 77% of voting Alaskans made it perfectly clear that firearms is an individual right not to be infringed upon by government. Arcticthaw got it right when he referenced John Wayne's opening comments in the movie the Shootist.

As long as you don't bring politics, religion, or sex into a conversation, you are likely to get along with just about everyone you meet in Alaska.

The Panda Chinese restaurant is suppose to be the best in Anchorage, and in the top 100 Chinese restaurants in the US. There are a lot of Asian restaurants in south central Alaska. In Wasilla alone there are at least four Thai restaurants.
