This subject came up at work today as we are also subject to such testing... the consensus it that for us to earn a $ we have to pass such tests. Those that benefit from the fruits of our labor through taxes and payments by the social programs of the state and country should also have to pass the same tests to be eligeble for said payments. Fair is fair right?

I would definitely think so, Arctic, though it doesn't seem to work that way.

That's a good way to kill crew moral or worse, bringing them right out in the field like that. I've seen entire crews get up and threaten to walk off a rig because of nurses coming out looking to do ua's. It's a very good way to get people distracted, and the next thing you know somebody's hurt on the job.

I love snow. Unfortunately what we mostly get down this way is ice.
