My father-in-law drives for Carlile. Most of what you see is staged. And the girl that was driving... Lisa? She only drives when the show was filming.

Well glad they renewed it for a second year, but unless they do new families, they will have to do fabrications. Those people live in a sterile world and the routine is common for survival. So after one show's season, they will have to invent drama, if they do new families, that would make it a good show still! If it's the same folks, it will be tough.

I was under the impression one family wasn't going back again or at least the girls. Also there was the couple who took over the abandoned trap line to move in. They will be interesting to watch and weren't really featured much.

It's contrived. The Brown family spend much or most of their time out of Alaska. They probably come up for a few months and film, I saw a couple of them in JNU about two months ago with one of their film crew. They're Texans, I believe but have lived in various places.

Forget the BS TV shows and read something like "Shopping for Porcupine", by Seth Kantner.

"Alaska" Bush People...I watched less than 10 minutes of it the first episode and got so annoyed. Those people are so fake and what's up with those accents? Where the hayull are they from? I think someone needs to do a full-fledged vetting, federal investigation on these folks. They are throwed off and just ain't right. They are a bunch of nut jobs and I hope they have not been profiting from Discovery Channel. It's bad enough they have stolen money from the State of AK by PFD fraud. Send them all to AK Department of Corrections and let them eat food loaf. Ugh. they make me sick.

After finding out the show was fake, I was really disappointed. Even so, it's still neat to see what houses are like in Alaska and the area, so I completely agree with you.
