You are spoiling the illusion Met...

But yet, one would think that this would be an eye opener.

I've got a friend in Hoonah that blogs occasionally. He's got a recent post that talks a little bit about the Brown's noticeable absence during the winter.

They've live in Alaska on and off. When filming, they live in Hoonah and travel out to the cabin site.
And they are up on modern technology. They've got YouTube videos, there's pictures of them on jet planes, in malls, etc...

I just had to watch it again. A sickness I know. Shocked to see The Cedars Lodge folks from Ketchikan appearing in the episode that aired tonight. I guess money and free advertising gets people.....

I know how fake the show is, but flash some cash at me and I'd do it in a heartbeat. I have no shame.

A couple of my neighbors and I have been contacted several times but whatever fly-by-night "production company" du jour is looking for that Alaska tax credit money (not sure if that program even exists anymore). We've turned them down every time. That's tapered off to nothing now, but if I hear from another one, I'm sending them to you.

It wasn't a long clip maybe but I was kinda shocked. I watching and there's the co-owner of The Cedars mugging for the camera as his workers were showing the Browns how to process geoducks. I've known this guy for almost 20 years. Thought he had more scruples then that but I guess money is money. Oh well, the Browns are moving to Colorado so those people will have to deal with them next...
