Default Wanting to buy land in the "Bush".

Hi everybody. I'm new so be gentle. I'm originally from rural Arkansas (5 miles outside of a town of 500 souls) and was raised on a cattle ranch. I'm living in Vegas now and despise it. I'm wanting to "get out of the rat race" and move to the Panhandle. In Arkansas you can still buy land far out in the styx for next to nothing. Like 1,000 dollars an acre. I'm looking for cheap land for serious backwoods living.

So, my question is, can you buy cheap land out in the bush (nowhere near anything like a city) in the Panhandle area??? How much? And where's the best places to look?

I'm no noobie to backwoods living. I hunt and fish, heated my home with a woodstove most of my life, can butcher, grow veggies and have built my own log-cabin in Arkansas...

Thank you for any help in advance.

Sorry... Yes the SE Panhandle. I'm looking for something in the Temperate Rainforest kind of area. Deep in the woods. Much thanks.

Well, the link didn't work right, but go to her listings and then the remote listing and then click on excursion inlet. Pretty cool.

If you really buy land in a remote area, it is less expensive. But SE is not necessarily remote.

I would consider southeast remote. Except for Skagway and Haines you can't drive to any of them. If you can only get there by boat or plane I think that qualifies for the "remote" status. As for the OP's question you might try looking at the web sites for the realtors in Ketchikan. They all have remote lot listings. PM me if you want the direct links.

I would agree though, it's not as remote as Kipnuk or Kivalina.
