Now that I've got some spare time maybe I'll celebrate my first full day out of work to see how long it will take me to get banned from the Alaska section of cruise critic.com

It's just tacky and a total tip off (in case you weren't wearing the white tennies) that you're a touron. Most people don't think that stuff is cool except maybe some lesser 48 weenies, who wear teddy bear sweatshirts and have their homes decorated in dried flowers and pictures of ducks and puppies. You get my drift.

I like the Skinny Dick shirts with the happy polar bears but most of my T shirts are Corvette related, have owls on them or are just a solid color. Sometimes I'll wear a Henley shirt & push the arms up to reveal my tats.

Diamonds International & the rest of their ilk are own by Carnival Cruise Lines. I loathe DI almost as much as I loathe Walmart.

I've noticed. That's why I have the Alaska forum set as the first page that I start off with here. I just told my wife that I'm going to apply for the state archivist position in Juneau. She wasn't as freaked out as I thought she'd be.

LOL--I thought you were talking about a hellhole of a bored called cruise critic.com
I think I got banned from there last fall; hell I don't know. I do a lot of traveling though and have different IPs...
http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=55
The only Alaskans posting on this bored are carpetbaggers or quasi carpetbaggers fawning over the touron penny. Makes me sick. If I'm in town another night and get with the Captain I just may wander over there....

I'm a member over there too. I find that a lot of the links that are posted in the Alaska section are not my cup of tea, but they often contain other more useful links that have been helpful in planning my trip.

It takes a lot to get kicked off CC. I salute you!

So tell me do you like the Captain straight up or hidden within another flavor?

It's good disguised in hot apple cider. One must be ingenious at times...I usually double cup it and hang a teabag out of the bottom cup....last night though I enjoyed a slight bit of the Captain all hot and buttered and used raw brown sugar for the mixture...yum.
