How are you with driving on snow packed roads for long distances and in traffic? Seems like that would be my bigger concern.

Lots of people your age go to Talkeetna. I've never heard of any going to Wasilla. Keep in mind though that Talkeetna tends to attract the less conservative types. But not everyone sits around talking about politics so you should be fine there.
As far as making friends I've noticed that the seasonal workers bond very quickly and doubt you'll have any trouble there. I hope you'll be a little cautious in Anchorage though-- Last edited by Metlakatla; 02-05-2008 at 01:38 PM.

so your telling me that anchorage is worst than baltimore city the 2nd highest murder rate in the country aka my hometown??
Not that i live there anymore....but i take road trips there from the beach quite often and have many nights i dont remember in the city but still safe!! Looks like im sticking to beer and no shots!!!

well i was born where the wire was shot....but my parents moved me to the eastern shore when i was seven so i could live at the nice family beach resort 2 1/2 hours away from the city....thank god!!! Our summer house became my new home!!
