How to at least double your money if you're an Alaskan politician... (lawyer)

Alaska and federal campaign finance laws say you can only solicit so much dough from people.

What can you do once you get all you can?

Why you can spend it, in Don Young's case, you can spend it on lawyers so you can try to stay out of jail, and keep collecting more of that campaign money.

(he's bumping up against forking a million bucks over to the lawyers in the last year or so, ....and here some of you thought you were donating to his 'campaign'.....)

....but wait, if you're like Don Young, and you spent all your 'campaign' money and you still want to pay more for lawyers, how can you get around those campaign finance laws?

(..it's a sure bet no one else is going to give him any money besides the saps that still support him, right? ...and they have given all they could.)

So what's a Congresscritter to do?

Well, here's what Don Young can do, he can start a 'Legal Defense Fund'.

And now, he can go right back to those same 'campaign' donors, and get them to give him all kinds of money that overcome those silly old caps on campaign finance donations,

......sweet, no?

Now when he collects dough for his 'services', he can collect even more than what he used to collect for his 'services'.

Those Florida developers and the like can grease his palm with double the money and it's all 'legal'.

(I know, ....even if you think it should, legal and ethical don't have anything in common when it comes to Congresscritters.)

Some folks asked Don Young about why he needs so much money for lawyers.......

He said he can't say, he said he can't even tell you that he's done nothing wrong.
