You know, just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they're being a mindless sheep to the bureaucracy, it just means they don't agree with you.
Me, I watch a half an hour of tv a day, except on fridays when I watch an hour: both shows are science fiction. I haven't watched a news broadcast in ages, exception paid to when I've flipped through to see election coverage. I occasionally skim the newspaper for local stories but I don't read it religiously. Mostly I spend my spare time reading, knitting, hiking, and, as Metla says, terrorizing the internet. I also don't think America is doomed, I just think we've hit a rough spot. Do I sound like a media-following sheep to you?
Oh yeah, and I'm from Juneau, the "big business capital of Alaska", as you say.

I wonder why the media has made its life mission to discredit Ron Paul?

XA you are one of the exceptions-- Its the masses of sheep in the country that are being led to slaughter-- and THEY VOTE!!!!

Whether anybody believes it or not the facts are ; The USA is having its guts ripped out financially-- morally etc.....

I sugar coated it with a little sci-fi for you-- now eat your breakfast....

"" The blue pill will leave us as we are, in a life consisting of habit, of things we believe we know. We are comfortable, we do not need truth to live.

By accepting what we are told and experience life can be easier. There is the social pressure to 'fit in', which is immensely strong in most cultures. Questioning the status quo carries the danger of ostracism, possibly persecution. This aspect has a strong link with politics. People doing well under the current system are not inclined to look favourably on those who question the system."

"To justify taking the red pill we might ask what is the purpose of an ignorant existence? Further still, what is there in merely existing? Simply existing brings humans down to the level of objects; they might have utility or even purpose, but where is the meaning? Existence without meaning is surely not living your life, but just experiencing it. "

So Manmountain can you take the red/blue thing a bit further to comment on whether green/orange followers are more acceptable in AR magazines? Or am I pushing the envelope of the matrix a bit too far?

I just saw a post on the Montana board where folks started a political discussion and they were chastised by the moderator for discussing politics on the state boards !
I guess the Alaska board operates by different rules, go figure !

Maybe its a fool's dream, or my medication shouldn't be combined with alcohol,
