Makes you wonder how far behind personal bank accounts can be... BTW, I don't post often, but I want to take this opportunity to thank you, USER 2, for your posts and links, especially on the economy, climate change, and the environment. You are right on target, and you document your sources. I make a point of reading your posts for information.[/quote] Don't make a habit of it. You'll regret it. User 2's references might as well come straight from the DNC's talking points. Plus, his "documentation" is cherry-picked. MSNBC has as much credibility as the former Pravda when it comes to propagating an ideology. Just ask Hillary Clinton. Amazingly enough, the far-Left was savaging the Left. It was truly mind-boggling to see. Last edited by Classic Satch; 02-17-2008 at 03:28 AM. |

If your IQ exceeded 100 points, I might deign it necessary to debate you. Since it obviously doesn't.........

Satch, we don't worry much about "rep" points here. It ain't a middle school popularity contest, and people who mainly stick to state specific forums here tend to have lower rep points than those who venture out into the "real world". We can only rep each other so much in this particular forum; there isn't a regular poster here that I can give any more rep to unless I "spread it around". Besides, his ain't so bad. The only reason mine is higher is because I go trollin' around in the fashion forum now and then yapping it up about Coach purses and hairdressers on crack.
I don't know what he said to your wife or who she is here. Not in Montana yet; I fly out next weekend, spend a little time at my home in Oregon, and then go there for awhile. I do plan on being back here when the first summer Kings start to run, though. Last edited by Metlakatla; 02-17-2008 at 03:45 AM. |

We've sold off quite a bit of our household in anticipation of the move. She's been talking to recruiters regarding a position in Anchorage or Eagle River so we'll know where we're going to end up pretty soon. We are just so anxious to escape the Soviet Socialist Republic of California and get back to cold-weather climactic activities that it's not even funny. |

Well, here's hoping you'll have an easy transition. I think you'll like the area there.
Personally, I am just thrilled that an old laptop I pulled out of storage today actually decided to work. Its keyboard had fallen victim to a couple different accidental beverage spills and I never thought it would work again. |

PS: Computers are surprisingly robust when it comes to physical mishaps. It's the "user" malfunctions in regards to hardware/software issues that usually causes the problems. |

Well, don't forget to kiss Blossom Hill goodbye for me on your way out of Cali. I never did give it a proper farewell the final time I escaped the in laws' place.

I won't give it a "kiss" as much as a "fart" on my way out. You really can't realize just how far-out California is until you've lived here. It is truly insane. I was walking around doing my job today in shorts and a Comcast polo shirt. I hate this nutty state.

I've never lived in Cali, but I had my first legal drink in the Vesuvius Cafe in SF.
We got drunk and called up Charles Burkowski and guess what...he was tipsy too. Some of us used to go down to Palm Desert in the winter for awhile. Living in Cali though... I could see how it would suck. |
