Yeah...you can't beat a long, lingering Indian summer...

Don't the spruce stay green all winter?

That may be why I have a large selection of houseplants. And many big ones. It's like a jungle walking in the front door. It sure is nice in the middle of winter to sit amongst them

Where I lived in the Su there were a lot more decidous trees than spruce...the spruce are so little that most of them get covered with snow.
We're having about a week's worth of blue skies and warm temps here...something about the color blue is very good for the soul.

i have a question for people who live in alaska my friends and i are thinking of moving out of the city we live in into alaska. we are all turning 18 and we would like to know how kids our age act. where we live we get in fights everyday just to survive and were tired of that. we want to go somewhere were we can feel safe and know we wont have to deal with those problems anymore. we thought alaska would be a good place. we have saved up alot of money and we would like to know where the best place to move is where we can all get decent jobs and know we wont have to deal with watching our backs anymore.

Well your best bet is to read up the sticky up top, and do a bit of searching. A few just turned 18 people better have a good plan. Were you planning to dorm at a college, just get jobs? By saved up a lot of money, around how much do you have? You can't expect to move up with 1000 dollars and last very long.
If you want to move up with your friends, I'm sure you can, but preparation is 90% of the move. You'd probably want to start off in Anchorage but think long about if it's something you all want.
