I didn't get much Salmon dip netting last year and just ran out. Is there any of this type of fishing going on now? I called one charter and she said there wasnt

There is (or was) winter King fishing out of Homer on the southern tip of the Kenai Peninsula. A friend of mine was going almost daily last month, and doing very well.

There is winter king fishing here, too, but no chartering for it.

I've never used these guys, but they offer winter trips out of Homer: Winter King Salmon Fishing Charters in Homer So do these guys: Homer Alaska salmon and halibut fishing with Daniel's Personalized Guide Service. Custom salmon fishing charters and salmon / halibut combos. Winter King salmon charters our specialty.

Same down my way for winter king. My neighbors are a commercial fishermen and say its really slow. I don't put my boat back in the water till like early May.

Moved here 2 years ago, had to wait a year to star hunting /fishing. Haven't been having much luck, didn't get a moose and still have yet to get a Caribou, but I have till March for Caribou, if I get a chance to get back out in unit 13
