Yep, pretty cool! Around 18 mushers have GPS tracking devices this year. The rest didn't want to give up their "secret" resting places...lol!

You bet! Last year I got to see it all "up close". The village I lived in was a checkpoint (McGrath) and we volunteered. The mushers are some of the nicest people you'd ever meet and really care about their dogs. One of our jobs was to cook and serve food to them. They'd come in beat- but you can bet the dogs were fed and taken care of first before a musher came in to get food and rest for himself.
