What's the popular cell phone service used there?

ACS pretty much carries the local phone service as well as cell and internet. Cellular One also has cell phone service, but I switched from them to ACS due to the fact their coverage did not include the north slope. Others are still having trouble with that. So let me recommend ACS, and they have the main office in Soldotna, 11 miles from Kenai.

HOw is the coverage as far as AT&T goes. I am a current customer and have about 6 months on my contract.

Just checked att myself this past weekend. They do have roaming service on the Kenai but if you roam more than 60% they ask you to stop. If it persists , they send you a few more nasty grams then "fix" your phone so it only works on att towers. They only have towers in Anchorage.
