Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and have been reading alot of your posts. You guys are great about answering everyone's questions, so I thought I thought I'd try to see if anyone could help me with some info. We are moving to the Anchorage area in June. I am a travel nurse so I will have a job before I get there. My husband is a truck driver. His work has always been in the oilfield hauling water and fuel. Are there many jobs in that line of work around there? We have looked online in the papers and stuff but didn't really see anything. Any info would be greatly appreciated. We can't wait to get there, counting the days.

Try ACRS, or Peak, or Veco, and there is always hauling gravel around most of the towns during summer months. Road construction and what not.

I think CH2MHill took over for Veco, not sure though. It might be seasonal work.
He might be able to get a job up on the slope. |

CH2M did take over VECO. Several other large construction firms have a large presence up on the slope as well.
